Celebrating girlhood and its different dimensions, as influenced by my Philippine culture and personal upbringing. I aim to contextualize the place of Philippine dress and the craft of traditional Philippine handweaving today. Rooted in tradition, but challenging its boundaries in the modern world. Leaning towards a textile based approach, with an emphasis on layering techniques and textures with an appreciation for the nuances they make, to inform my design process.
